We're excited to introduce Karo — an AI-powered box office agent built specifically for arts, culture, and heritage venues.

Karo sits on your website as a chat widget and answers visitor questions around the clock: what's on, when events are available, how to buy, and more. When a visitor has a booking, Karo can look it up, surface the details, and — for supported ticketing systems — initiate a refund or escalate to your team.

What's included at launch

Event search — Karo connects to your ticketing system and answers questions about your programme in natural language. Visitors can ask "what's on this weekend?" or "do you have anything suitable for children?" and get a helpful, accurate response.

Order lookup — Visitors can find their booking without an account. They enter their email and order reference, verify with a one-time code, and Karo retrieves the details directly from your ticketing system.

Human handoff — When Karo can't help or a visitor requests it, the conversation is escalated to your team. Your inbox gets a summary and a link to the full conversation in the dashboard.

Knowledge base — You control what Karo knows about your venue: accessibility, parking, food and drink, group bookings, and anything else visitors commonly ask. Each field is AI-assisted so it's easy to write well-optimised copy.
