Keeping Karo up to date

Karo doesn't update itself. Your event data syncs automatically from your ticketing system, but your knowledge base needs attention from your team.

Event data

If you've connected a ticketing system, your events sync automatically on a background schedule. You don't need to do anything to keep event listings current — new shows will appear, and sold-out performances will update automatically.

Check the Sync page in the dashboard to see when the last sync ran and whether there were any issues.

Knowledge base

Your knowledge base doesn't update itself. Review it regularly:

At the start of each season — update venue information, policies, facilities, and any seasonal FAQs.

When policies change — refund policy, cancellation terms, booking fee changes, late arrival rules.

Before major on-sales — if a high-profile show is going on sale, consider adding an FAQ specifically for it.

After a big announcement — if a show is cancelled or rescheduled, update the knowledge base before Karo tells visitors the wrong thing.

After reading conversations — the Conversations page shows you exactly where Karo is giving wrong or outdated answers. Use these to improve your content.

Agent instructions

If you're using agent instructions for seasonal or show-specific context, clear them out when they're no longer relevant. Outdated instructions can cause Karo to give confusing answers.

After updating

Whenever you save the knowledge base, Karo syncs the new version automatically. Wait for the sync to complete (usually a minute or two) before testing — you can see the status on the Knowledge base page.
