Sync filters
Sync filters let you control which events Karo pulls in from Spektrix. By default, Karo syncs all upcoming events. Use filters to include or exclude specific events based on their attributes.
How filters work
Filters match against event attributes (custom attributes you've set up in Spektrix). You can define:
- Include rules — only sync events that match these criteria
- Exclude rules — sync everything except events that match these criteria
If you define both include and exclude rules, exclude rules take precedence.
Setting up filters
Go to Spektrix settings → Sync filters to configure your rules.
Each rule specifies:
- Attribute — the Spektrix event attribute to filter on
- Value — the value to match
For example, if you tag events in Spektrix with an "Online only" attribute and you don't want Karo to surface those:
- Attribute:
Online only - Value:
True - Rule type: Exclude
Filters only affect what gets synced into Karo's local database. They don't affect what's in Spektrix. Events excluded from Karo won't appear in event searches.
After changing filters
After saving new filter rules, trigger a fresh sync from the Sync page in the dashboard. The next sync will apply your updated filters.
