App settings
App settings cover the core identity and behaviour of your Karo instance. Go to App settings in the sidebar to access these.
Fields
App name
Your internal name for this app. Shown in the app switcher and dashboard navigation. Doesn't appear in the chat widget.
Venue name
The name of the venue or organisation this app represents. Karo uses this name when talking to visitors — for example, "I'm the assistant for Blackpool Grand Theatre."
Assistant name
The name Karo uses for itself. Defaults to Karo. You can change this to match your venue's brand — see Agent instructions and persona for more on personalisation.
Allowed domain
The domain where Karo is active. The widget refuses to load on any other domain. This should match your live website exactly — get the format right:

Help page URL
A link to your own help or contact page. Karo can reference this in responses.
Contact email
An email address for visitors who need additional support.
Active
Controls whether Karo is visible and responsive. When you switch this off, visitors see a custom message instead of the chat widget.
Inactive message — the message shown to visitors when the app is inactive. Write something that sets expectations: "Frank is offline right now. Check back soon, or contact the box office at…"
Features
Certain Karo features need to be enabled per app. These are managed by SynapTix. If you're not seeing a capability you expect, contact your account manager.
